Forget-me-nots in bloom and bud wrap around the surface of this handmade, woodfired mug.. The piece was made on the pottery wheel by Rob, darted, and then given to Jess to illustrate. These flowers traditionally represent fidelity, faithfulness, and true love. They are what is steadfast and unwavering. After the past few years that we’ve all had, the idea of something that represents what is most fundamental, most true, was irresistible.
The interior is beautiful, crystally blue, reminding us of ice and snow, and the exterior is alive with the toasty colors of wood firing, created by the path of flame and ash in the kiln.
All pieces are made by hand, and have the traces of being touched and formed on them - soft unevenness, gently waving rim, drawings made directly on the surface. We hope you’ll prize the “imperfections” that make them truly human like we do.
